Current Artist in Residence: Kimberly Ronning


 

Kimberly Ronning lives and studies in Vancouver, BC, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Visual Arts at Emily Carr University of Art + Design.

      

She is a member of Tkʼemlúps te Secwépemc Nation and her artistic practice focuses on ceramics. 

She was the 2023 recipient of The North-West Ceramic Foundation Scholarship and the 2024 YVR Art Foundation recipient of the Bill McLennan Masterpiece Study Grant.

 Her work ranges from wheel thrown and handbuilt ceramic pieces which include pop-culture references.

   Her latest work explores combining Indigenous materials with fired clay which include horsehair, moose tufting, sinew, and beading.
