Artist Residency: Paige Elton

Paige Elton’s work deploys both figurative and abstract modes of representation, through mediums such as: drawing, painting, digital embroidery and whittling frames.


Often creating surreal scenes inspired by story book, folklore images.

Notable themes that take place throughout her work are gender identity, theatrics, fertility, comedy, anxiety, fantasy, mortality, absurdity and existentialism.

Paige Elton is an emerging visual artist based in Vancouver, BC; she resides on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsliel Watuth Nations.
Paige has recently graduated from the Emily Carr University of Art + Design with her Bachelor of Fine Art.
She has recently been featured within two group exhibitions: Interplay, at The Art Shop (2024), and Take the Egg (2022) at Emily Carr University’s Neighbourhood Gallery.
